This experience, in a nutshell

Leg 1

Day 1 Welcome aboard!

Boarding in Santorini south from 17.00. Accommodation in the cabin and dinner on the boat.

Day 1 Welcome aboard!

Leg 2

Day 2 Anafi

Departure early in the morning for a beautiful sail to Anafi in the Small Cyclades. The island is a small paradise surrounded by blue skies and blue seas, which bathes the fine sandy beaches and small bays nestled between picturesque rocky promontories. The pace of life is still slow and you can breathe peace and tranquility.

Day 2 Anafi

Leg 3

Day 3 Anafi again

The island offers many attractions both for sea lovers who can spend a lazy day at the beach, and for trekking enthusiasts, who can explore the island on foot, thanks to a well-organized network of hiking trails. Here is Mount Kalamos, a gigantic limestone monolith, the largest in the Mediterranean after Gibraltar. The summit can be reached by a challenging walk and from the monastery at the top you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea. Dinner in picturesque Chora.

Day 3 Anafi again

Leg 4

Day 4 Astypalea

Departure early in the morning for a long sail with arrival in Astypalea in the early afternoon. Located in the middle of the Aegean, the island is halfway between the Dodecanese and the Cyclades, with which it shares the barren appearance, windmills, villages of white houses, crystal clear waters and beautiful beaches. Anchoring in the roadstead or at the city quay and visit of the Chora with dinner in a tavern.

Day 4 Astypalea

Leg 5

Day 5 Astypalea again

Departure for Koutsomytis and Kounoupa, two small paradises that can only be reached by boat from Astypalea, after a short navigation. There are many beautiful beaches where you can swim in the crystal clear water and relax in the sun. Night at anchor.

Day 5 Astypalea again

Leg 6

Day 6: Gyali and Nisyros

Depart early in the morning for a long sail to the uninhabited island of Gyali. With its Caribbean waters and white pumice stone beaches, it will be our corner of paradise where we will spend a lazy afternoon at the beach. Aperitif at sunset and night at anchor or in the small port of Paloi on the island of Nisyros.

Day 6: Gyali and Nisyros

Leg 7

Giorno 7 Kos Kardamena

This last day we can spend it in the clear sea of the uninhabited islands of Pergoussa and Gyali or visit the Agios Stefanos volcano in Nisyros and have lunch in a medieval village overlooking the volcano. Return to Kos and disembark in Kardamena at 5 p.m.

Giorno 7 Kos Kardamena

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Secret Aegean with skipper and kitchen on board from Santorini to Kos

A week on a sailing boat between Santorini, Anafi, Astypalea, Nisyros and Kos – a real holiday, one of those that stay with you. Annalisa and Emmanuel, our skippers, were incredible: super prepared, but also welcoming and easy-going. They treated us like kings and queens from day one, with a care and kindness that is rarely found. Even when the wind gave us a longer stop on an island, they were able to turn everything into an opportunity to discover beautiful places, have new experiences and eat in authentic places where you spend little and really eat like a god. Even on board you can eat very well: they cook everything themselves, with fresh local products, and you can see that they put passion into it. They are not only good skippers, they are also excellent cooks! Every meal was delicious! We did everything: trekking, bathing in hot springs, visiting the caldera of a volcano, and often slept in quiet and isolated bays, under a sky full of stars. An incredible peace. We almost always sail making us participate in the maneuvers and explain everything to us with patience and passion. It's not your average all-inclusive holiday, it's a different, more authentic and free experience – and that's why it's special. It is real sea, nature, freedom, simplicity. If you are looking for something authentic, away from the chaos and full of beauty, I highly recommend it.

The skippers are experienced sailors who care about safety + weather conditions and maintain a very clean, comfortable boat down to the smallest details. They were kind enough to help me maneuver a heavy piece of luggage which I'm super grateful for. I booked solo and extremely last minute without knowing the right questions to ask, and I do recommend conversing prior to get a feel of fit for this type of trip. I could have benefited from discussing my dietary preferences and restrictions in comparison to the group, especially given that the food is purchased and prepared by the skippers without the option of purchasing/ cooking your own. It also didn't occur to me to inquire about allotted water consumption per passenger, and in our case a swift shower wasn't possible each day whether on board or in marina. If you decide to embark, know that you are in experienced hands who will carefully anticipate weather restrictions and modify as needed, and you definitely won't be shopping or cooking. Thank you!
