Give this experience a try!

This experience, in a nutshell

Our experience is dedicated to travelers who love both the sea and the mountains, and in particular ski mountaineering
We will go skiing by boat!

Thanks to the support of our base on land it will be possible to combine pleasant skiing and evenings on the island of Vannoya, but also exploration cruises to discover the peaks of Arnoya or the legendary Kagen.  And in case of bad weather, a lit fireplace and fantastic dinners with Piedmontese and Norwegian cuisine.
The days will already be very long, but there will still be enough darkness at night for the Northern Lights. Long days and a lot to do, calculating that you can ski from 5 in the morning to 9 in the evening. The descents at sunset are spectacular, immersed in dust as the sun plunges into the ocean west of Vannoya.
After a hearty breakfast, our guests, who also have a car at their disposal, can choose which of the seven peaks of the island to explore, or embark for Arnoya and Kagen to perfectly combine skiing and sailing.
Putting your skis on the pier is a unique experience!

The peaks of Vannoya are between 750 and 1000 meters, so there will still be time for an afternoon sail, perhaps to the mythical Fugloya, one of the main nature reserves in the world for the variety and number of birds that arrive to nest at the end of March, such as puffins and oystercatchers.
For those who are still not tired, our base, located on a private peninsula of 15 hectares, also has its own nine-hole golf course . Not always accessible due to snow, but we managed to play in every season of the year.
In the gallery you can find some photos of the base.

The islands north of Tromso are quite unknown in the ski touring environment, especially our Vannoya and Arnoya, so we can guarantee that our guests will find slopes without any trace.
The most passionate sailors will also be pleased to know that the border between the Arctic Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean runs right through the islands of Vannoya, Fugloya and Arnoya. Two oceans to sail, and to admire from a single magnificent window in one of our 4 rooms overlooking the sea.

NB: No specific level of physical preparation or experience on the boat is necessary. Boat trips are organized according to the weather and in case of bad weather they are postponed to the next day. The overnight stay as specified will be on land at our facility.

OUR BASE
The two houses are in the center of the Keila peninsula, on a 15-hectare plot of land formerly used as a farm, with about a kilometer of private coastline, and a lighthouse. We like to think that the center of our activities is an event in space where time does not flow and it is not necessary to do anything, but only to merge with the wind, the sea, the prairie, the snow and the rocks that surround us. And always immersed in the poetry of light.
The Casa Rossa accommodates travelers with a large lounge with a wood stove and large windows overlooking the sea. Guests have free access to the kitchen and two large bathrooms. WiFi is available in this house.
The House of Books relaxes travelers with hundreds of travel books, atlases, maps and nautical charts. Also heated by classic Norwegian wood stoves. This house is purposely offline.
On the grounds of the property there are several trails, a golf course and several viewpoints and birdwatching, as well as the lighthouse.

Islands at the edge of the world

Grazie ancora Britta e Marco, arrivederci a presto!

Discover the Lofoten archipelago on a sailing boat

Tutto splendido, ripartirei subito.
