About me

Hello, I am a Belgian professional skipper and I have been sailing for several years in the Canary Islands, a region that I know by heart, both on land and at sea. After several jobs and adventures, I decided to train professionally so that I could properly take care of the crew and the boat and be able to take the crew with me safely. Teacher, cook, music lover, I have already taken more than 200 people on board different types of boats and I would be happy to welcome you in turn. I will be happy to help you discover the many hidden secrets of these islands. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, do not hesitate to contact me with any questions!

My experience

I started sailing more than 10 years ago and have been skippering my own boat since 2012. I have sailed more than 25,000 miles as a skipper, mainly in the Atlantic (long crossings, transatlantic crossings, Cape Verde, Canary Islands, Madeira, Azores, Morocco, etc.) I was born in a town far from the coast, I studied at university, I immersed myself in the culture of the city.... And I started sailing by chance at the age of 28, but I've never stopped since.

I giorni passati in barca con Ben sono stati un’esperienza difficile da dimenticare. La navigazione è stata nelle mani di un vero velista esperto, generoso e simpatico,capace di far apprezzare a tutti la bellezza dell’andare in barca a vela. Abbiamo visitato luoghi incantevoli, lontani dal caos e calati in una natura davvero suggestiva. L’incontro con delle orche è stato unico !! Una vacanza speciale…

Super semaine de navigation avec Ben, il est intarissable d'anecdotes, d'histoires de marins. Les îles Canaries ne semblent plus avoir de secrets pour cet aventurier, et il sait les partager. Une magnifique semaine de voile avec Ben, nous ne pouvons que vous recommander une expérience avec lui. Le bateau est très bien entretenu. La navigation avec Ben est un réel plaisir, toute en sécurité et adaptée à nos envies. Ses explications sur la voile et sur tout ce qui touche les Îles Canaries sont toujours intéressantes. Ben est un très bon capitaine et un fin cuisinier ! Il vous accueillera aux petits soins dans son très confortable voilier. On a passé une semaine très chouette autour de Lanzarote et de la Graciosa aux paysages spectaculaires. Il y avait une excellente ambiance à bord avec les equipiers, des moments d'apprentissage de la voile et aussi des moments de contemplation mémorables. Ben est très adaptable et arrangeant, nous vous le recommandons vivement !! Enora et Valentin
