About me

It is satiating to sail. I go to sea because I like it, with a Van de stadet 34, without haste, scanning the horizon that moment after moment holds surprises. On a boat you experience the sea day by day and share everything with the desire to disconnect, smell and taste that flavor that only the sea can transmit. On a boat you don't just feed on food, you squeeze your senses, you abandon certainties.... you immerse yourself in the blue. This is how I experience my boat and this is how I propose it to those who sail with me. Planning to go sailing is much more than thinking about taking a vacation. Anyway, fair winds. Ivo

My experience

I have sailed and sail as a yachtsman, I have been the owner since 1990, since 2013 of a Van de Stadet 34. I have participated in various navigation, offshore and oceanic courses, a dozen winter championships, as many regattas and transfers. Then, the Balearic Islands, the Pontine, Ustica, the Egadi Islands, Sardinia, Corsica and the Tuscan archipelago. I experienced a huge emotion while sailing in the ocean, 2012/2013/2022. A very lively experience was 2016, the tour of the Tyrrhenian Sea in stages changing crew at each stage. In 2024 I participated in the Uisp course for Sailing Instructor with the aim of transmitting much more than a holiday to those who choose to sail with me and Moorea. I sail about 1200/1500 miles a year and I get excited when I detach myself from the pier and / or sail the anchor.

Ci siamo trovati molto bene con Ivo: skipper professionale, cuoco provetto e persona gioviale con tanto da raccontare! La sua barca è in ottime condizioni e ben pulita. Torneremmo volentieri in barca con lui.

Skipper molto esperto, preciso e disponibile. Ottimo cuoco e pescatore!! Molto attento (anche troppo) alla cura della sua barca e alla sicurezza dell’equipaggio. Qualche costo extra (cambusa a forfait e tesseramento asd) da mettere in conto, ma nel complesso, consigliato!!

Esperienza bellissima per i luoghi visitati e la grande professionalità dello skipper. Ivo trasmette un tale amore per il mare e per la vela che non puoi non rimanerne coinvolto. Incuriosita da una nostra conversazione in barca, una volta rientrata ho riletto Moby Dick e c'è un passo che più di ogni altro rappresenta lo spirito e le emozioni che questa vacanza mi ha regalato: " Chiamatemi Ismaele. Alcuni anni fa - non importa quanti esattamente - avendo pochi o punti denari in tasca e nulla di particolare che m'interessasse a terra, pensai di darmi alla navigazione e vedere la parte acquea del mondo. E' un modo che ho io di cacciare la malinconia e di regolare la circolazione" Grazie f

Non solo una vacanza, ma anche una lezione, Ivo e’ un ottimo skipper, un ottimo cuoco e un’ottima persona, ci ha fatto godere di un mare fantastico, ci ha fatto rilassare, ridere e divertire, il bagno alle 08:00 di mattina è qualcosa di indescrivibile.
