Conseguito nel 1978 presso l'Istituto tecnico nauti statale il diploma di aspirante alla conduzione di navi mercantili , ma poi ho preferito lo yachting e da allora ho navigato su numerose imbarcazioni di oltre 20 metri sia a vela che motore. Ho fatto l'istruttore e navigato sia in oceano che in Mediterraneo.
