Give this experience a try!

This experience, in a nutshell

Scattered off the coast of Turkey, the islands that make up the Dodecanese constitute the southernmost and most cosmopolitan archipelago, with architectural features of clear oriental influence. They were the last territories to be incorporated into modern Greece.

The Dodecanese ( Kos, Kalymnos, Leros, Lipsi, Patmos) and the Southern Sporades (Ikaria, Fourni and Samos) offer a great variety of natural scenery and activities: beaches equipped for every sport, safe and solitary landings, caves and fjords, high and green mountains. The itinerary is very varied, some islands are parched and barren, others green and fertile and rich in water springs. All the islands are wonderful, each with its own grace, each with its own story.

Under a great sun, carried by the wind, from port to port, from cove to cove, we will discover the villages and landings of these Aegean islands: white villages clinging to the rock that look at you from above, jagged coasts, intense light and sun, a crystal clear sea, churches, castles and monasteries, together with a warm welcome. These are the Greek Islands, which in mythology gave birth to heroes and gods.

The itinerary is very rich and admits many variations: a holiday of ten nights will allow us to travel without being pressed by the need to travel many miles. We will alternate days of longer sailing with days that only require a short sea ride and we will allow ourselves stops on land (Fourni and / or Ikaria) to go and browse on land and explore the islands by bike, car or by renting scooters, stretch our legs and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation and refreshing baths in the most beautiful coves.

The actual route will be decided on the spot based on weather conditions, listening to everyone's preferences but on the unquestionable decision of the Captain, who aims to ensure a pleasant and safe itinerary.

In case of adverse weather conditions that cannot be circumvented, the crossing between the Dodecanese and the Cyclades will take place further south and the crew will be disembarked in Naxos, from where they can easily reach Mykonos by ferry.

No previous experience is needed, but this holiday is suitable for a young crew, with good agility and physical fitness, a lover of the sea, sailing and travel.

Leg 1

Day 1 - Embarkation

From 5 p.m. boarding begins, you get on board, arrange your luggage and make the first common shopping (galley), which will then be replenished during the journey where necessary. In the evening we go out for dinner in a local tavern and we start to get to know each other.

Leg 2

Day 2 - Let's go!!

After a nice breakfast, early in the morning, we set sail, let the journey begin! We head north: guests have the opportunity to become familiar with the boat and the maneuvers and then we allow ourselves a stop for the first swim on the island of Pserimos. From here we continue to Kalymnos, once a sponge island now famous among free climbing enthusiasts.

Day 2 - Let's go!!

Leg 3

Giorno 3 - From Kalymnos to Leros

After visiting Kalymnos, the next morning we go out to sea and continue our ascent northwards: most likely it will be necessary to pull edges in a zigzag path that in two or three hours will take us to a bay where we will have lunch and relax for a break and a nice swim. Continue to Leros, heading to the charming village of panels, for an aperitif with a breathtaking view!

Giorno 3 - From Kalymnos to Leros

Leg 4

Day 4 - From Leros to Lipsi

When we wake up, those who want can take a nice refreshing swim, breakfast and then we leave for Lipsi, where we will throw ourselves again into an enchanting and super protected bay in the south of the island. Baths, sista and relaxation and for those who want a half-hour walk through the village of Lipsi. Dinner in the tavern or on board.

Day 4 - From Leros to Lipsi

Leg 5

Day 5 From Lipsi to Patmos

Early in the morning we set sail to reach the islets east of Lipsi, and launch ourselves to explore the incredible bays with beaches of light rock, full of caves and inlets, before the tourist boats arrive with their load of bathers. We continue north and head to Patmos.

Day 5 From Lipsi to Patmos

Leg 6

Day 6 - Patmos to Fourni

After visiting Patmos with its castle-monastery, we take to the sea and parade the bays to the north of the island, allowing ourselves a nice morning swim. From the northern cape we head to Fourni, the island with the strange shape of a lobster, the southernmost of the southern Sporades and by far one of the most beautiful Greek islands: jagged, rich in fish and definitely off the beaten track of mass tourism. We will take a day to run around a bit between bays and islets and explore the island!

Day 6 - Patmos to Fourni

Leg 7

Day 7

We visit Fourni, the nearby coves and islets and return to the characteristic port in the evening.

Day 7

Leg 8

Day 8

A nice breakfast and off we go, we head for nearby Ikaria and its beautiful beaches on the southern side, crystal clear water and very few visitors, a true paradise for sea lovers. In the evening we enter the port. The island is large and divided in two between the north and south sides by a high mountain rich in vegetation and forests. We organize ourselves to visit the north side from land the next day by renting a car or scooters.

Day 8

Leg 9

Day 9

Legend has it that from this island Ikarus took flight with his wax wings, which, however, melted in the sun ... And it is from this myth that the island takes its name. Off the beaten track of mass tourism, the island is famous for its particularly long-lived population, its natural thermal waters, and its green mountains full of water. It is well worth resting for a day and immersing yourself in the relaxed rhythms of the island and setting out to discover it.

Leg 10

Day 10

Rested and enjoyed, we take to the sea early in the morning, a nice sail awaits us towards Mykonos, which we will reach in the late afternoon after taking a break before crossing the channel. We drop anchor in a bay south of Mykonos and from here we reach the center by bus, where we throw ourselves into the nightlife of the most sparkling island in all of Greece.

Day 10

Leg 11

Day 11

We get up early and the guests prepare to disembark. It's time for hugs and a last ritual photo, the Captain accompanies you ashore with the dinghy and from which you can continue to the airport or the next destination.

Andrea was a great captain. We felt completely safe with the way he led us through all the beautiful places, ports and hidden bays with clear azure water. In those places, we swam with school of fish and encountered swimming pigs, jumping dolphins , a huge seal, baby octopus and turtle. It was truly magical to sail without the engines from time to time. We felt like we became part of the ocean. It was kind of Andrea to let us take part in some simple and safe tasks. We were lucky with the other passengers with whom we shared this experience. They were excellent chefs. We enjoyed working together in the galley. The seafood risotto under the stars was one of the best meals of our week. Thank you Andrea! J & M
