This experience, in a nutshell
May 1st, the sun is already warm and we feel the call of nature awakening. A sailing experience is not just sea and swimming, but it can be much more. And for this long weekend of late spring, we wanted to create a unique experience of sailing, sport, fun and relaxation , which we will live with two boats and which will take us to discover by sea and by land, three pearls of the Cetacean Sanctuary.
Elba, with its 147 km of coastline, is the third largest island in Italy. Thanks to its vast surface area, it offers us a great wealth of marine and terrestrial fauna and flora, alternating with delightful seaside villages rich in history.
Capraia, presents us with a completely different scenario. A small unspoiled island and almost entirely a nature reserve, a small high village that has less than 400 inhabitants and its characteristic marina, along which there are some restaurants and shops selling typical local products.
Corsica and Cap Corse, which is where we will sail, are unique because at the same time they dazzle with the beauty of its coasts and water, but also intimidate for the grandeur of its cliffs, leaving us with the idea of sailing on a Cape rich in history and stories.
Our base will be the new marina of Piombino, the port a few miles from the Island of Elba is easy to reach by car and therefore the ideal starting point for our travels.
After arranging our things in the cabin and the galley, we will leave immediately sailing at sunset towards the island of Elba or early the following morning. Our itinerary will be dictated by the weather, depending on the forecast we will decide which route to follow, which island to visit first and whether to spend the night at anchor or in port.
The itineraries can satisfy both the most experienced and those approaching the world of sailing for the first time. On board everyone will be able to learn the basics of sailing and participate in maneuvers. They will be days of sport, relaxation, nature and fun in company.
In fact, we will sail in a flotilla, with another boat, one more opportunity to be able to socialize and why not, challenge the other crew in short regattas.
