This experience, in a nutshell

Over thousands of years, legends of the Canary Islands have drawn explorers, philosophers, and dreamers to this Atlantic paradise. Once thought by the Greeks to be linked to Atlantis and by medieval Europeans as the "edge of the world," these volcanic islands have been a beacon for those seeking freedom or transformation. For some, they were the last sight before transatlantic voyages, while in the 1960s, they became a haven for communities escaping modern life.

Today, this journey takes you through some of the Canaries' most remote and awe-inspiring locations.

The Canary Islands are uniquely positioned between untouched nature and accessible civilization.

Northern Tenerife has vibrant cities, while western valleys remain secluded and wild. This experience offers a chance to connect deeply with the landscape, culture, and like-minded adventurers. You'll visit places only reachable by boat, immerse yourself in volcanic cliffs and pristine beaches, witness abundant marine life, and experience the islands' rich history and culinary heritage.

This journey centres on four key experiences:

  • Natural Wonders: Venture to boat-only sites like Los Organos on La Gomera and Playa de Masca on Tenerife, and hike ancient paths through Europe’s oldest forests and dramatic coastal cliffs.
  • Marine Life: Encounter whales, dolphins, and endemic bird species within three marine conservation areas, with opportunities for snorkeling among coral reefs.
  • Culture & History: Rather than focusing on dates and battles, gain insights into local life by visiting coastal villages, tasting traditional Canarian foods, and learning from residents about the islands' diverse heritage.
  • Culinary Tradition: Most of the evening, anchored under the stars, you’ll explore the flavours of the Canaries—from salt-boiled papas with mojo to world-famous local Malvasia wine.

This adventure is ideal for young travellers (18-39) and offers a safe, accessible introduction to sailing.

Winter months provide the perfect blend of mild weather, with 25°C temperatures, calm trade winds of the Atlantic, and thriving vegetation following November's rains.

Alternative routes and shore activities are available in case of unexpected weather.

Leg 1

Suturday - Be my beloved guest

We’ll gather for a welcome lunch, followed by a safety briefing, before setting sail to a coastal spot known for drum circles and fireside music, home to one of Europe’s last true hippie communes. With darkness when the fire lighted up, we will join them to listen to music(or even play together), sit near the fire and enjoy a stary night

Leg 2

Sunday - Hi Columbus!

After a typical Canary breakfast of papaya with orange, we will set sail to La Gomera via the whale migration route. If you've ever dreamed of starting to learn sailing, today will be your best day. Once we dock our floating home at San Sebastian and rent cars, we will drive to the island's peak to watch the sunset. As darkness falls, instead of just returning, we can journey through the famous 'forest of witches'. ;) While sharing dinner in a very special place, we will travel back 500 years to when Columbus dined before his renowned voyage.

Sunday - Hi Columbus!

Leg 3

Monday- Heart of the island

Have you ever imagined what Earth looked like when dinosaurs roamed 150 million years ago? Let's explore. We will visit the ancient laurel forests of Gomera, estimated to be around 90-70 million years old. Our next stop is the glass edge of the island, offering one of the best views of Tenerife.

Leg 4

Tuesday-Connection with Nature

We proceed with our Gomerian adventure by navigating the southern waters of the islands, captivated by the dramatic cliffs of La Gomera. Today, we may have the opportunity to spot whales, dolphins, and monk seals in the ocean, as well as falcons and giant lizards in Valle Gran Rey. In 1970, Valle Gran Rey was the heart of the island's hippie movement, embodying a free spirit. Today, it remains the most secluded commune, yet steadfast in its original values of love, art, and openness.

Leg 5

Wednesday-Ghost Beach

Have you heard about Canarian ghost beaches? During low tide, areas that seemed like inaccessible rocks transform into pristine, mile-long beaches adorned only with shells, which then gradually disappear at high tide like ghost with first light.

Leg 6

The Organs

The Los Órganos rock formation on La Gomera stands as a stunning natural wonder, with majestic basalt columns ascending from the sea, resembling a giant organ. The complex patterns and textures of these formations weave a captivating visual symphony of stone.

Most importantly this nature monument is visible only from the ocean.

Leg 7

The symphony of the ocean

The songs of whales are the symphonies of the sea, audible only in the profound depths of the ocean. As we traverse the primary migration path, accompanied by our special guest, the Whale Watching Guide, we will attend their deep-sea concert at a depth of 8 kilometers.

Leg 8

Sunset Giants

We will witness the sunset in the presence of the awe-inspiring Los Gigantes cliffs, which boast an 800-meter sheer drop. For perspective, the tallest of these cliffs is as high as the Burj Khalifa, a 163-story building. We will spend a night amidst these giants.

Leg 9

Thursday- Skywalk

Los Gigantes is veiled in mystery. The secluded bays nestled between cliffs served as ideal hideouts for pirates and are now serene havens accessible only by boat. The tunnels, spanning several kilometers, were constructed by courageous workers in the 1950s, alongside uncharted goat paths that lead to the colossal arch at the brink of one of the towering cliffs.

Leg 10

Friday-Wine Treasury

Before we depart for the home marina, a very special delivery from the winery will arrive. On our journey home, we'll savor local wines, cheeses, and snacks from across the island, with a particular focus on Malvasia wines. The volcanic soil and the local practice of intercropping grapes with other fruit trees, which imparts a fruity aroma to the wines, make them some of the most intriguing wines globally.
