This experience, in a nutshell

The Selvaggio Blu is the most famous trek in Sardinia and one of the most popular treks in the world near the sea. The experience of the Selvaggio Blu using the sailboat, allows you to fully experience the route in close contact with the sea, avoiding the crowding of the stopping places, which now characterizes the Selvaggio Blu. Instead of spending the night on dry land, you will be accommodated in a cozy cabin of a sailboat over 15 meters long

Using a dinghy as a dinghy, we will easily reach the beaches every morning at the start of the daily tour. The dinghy will then wait at the next bay, at the end of the day's stage and will take us back to the boat. It will be possible, thanks to the support of the boat, to walk with a light backpack, while the luggage will remain on board.
On the sailboat we could relax with a refreshing swim, good food, a nice shower. We will enjoy special moments of relaxation at sunset while sipping an aperitif and recharge for the next day's trek.

Start of the trek: from Santa Maria Navarrese (NU)
Duration: 8 days

You will be accompanied by a Certified Mountain Guide throughout the week.

Explore the wilderness with Europe's most famous and spectacular trek: the Selvaggio Blu. Trekking and climbing excursions with a base for the sailboat.

The pluses of the experience:
  • Magnificent panoramic treks accompanied by expert guides
  • Learn how to sail on a comfortable boat
  • Experience the sea and the wild nature of Sardinia

NB: The skipper on board will be me or one of my collaborators

Our itinerary

Our trip starts here:

Santa Maria Navarrese.

Check-in: 6:00 PM

Our trip ends here:

Santa Maria Navarrese.

Check-out: 10:00 AM

Leg 1

Day 1

On the day of arrival, meeting at the port of Marina di S. Maria Navarrese at 18:00, where we will have a briefing to learn more about the stages of the trek, the boat maneuvers and to check the equipment. We will each settle into our own cabin that will host us throughout the tour.

Leg 2

Day 2

On the morning of the first day, the boat will take us to the starting point of the trek at Pedralonga. Although we will already be in the heart of the Selvaggio Blu, it will be a day of warming up and discovering the Sardinian coast. After a climb, Punta Giradili, of about 700m and having reached a karst plateau with an expanse of rocks of furrowed fields, we will reach, after about 4/5 hours, Monte Ginnirco, our destination of the first day from where we will return to the boat. Eventually, if there is time, you can organize a climb on the famous walls of Pedralonga (varying difficulties from 4c to the more classic grades 5b/5c and more).

Leg 3

Day 3

Resuming our trek, with a high-altitude route and with passages of some short cliffs overcome on sturdy juniper roots, we will head towards a particular rocky fjord, the Portu Pedrosu, from where we will embark on the tender to reach the sailboat that will be waiting for us anchored and a refreshing shower on board.

Leg 4

Day 4

The spectacular Cala Goloritzé will be the destination of the third day. Disembarking in Portu Cuao on sharp rocks, and resuming the trek, we will pass classic sheepfolds with an uphill difference in height of about 600m, before reaching and descending to the bay, admiring up close the Aguglia di Goloritzé or Punta Carioli, one of the most famous Sardinian climbing spots. The blue water will leave you speechless and thanks to the sailboat as a base camp, we could spend the night under the famous limestone obelisk.

Leg 5

Day 5

Fantastic day of sailing to Cala Mariolu, which will allow us to overcome a long rocky bastion overlooking the sea. We will sleep in this breathtaking bay nestled in the vertical cliff walls.

Leg 6

Day 6

After climbing the ridge for about 400m, along various rocky crags, with rope descents, you will reach the spectacular caves of Mudalaru. We will head towards Cala Biriola, to be reached with a few more climbs and walks in the woods surrounding the bay. We will rest on board in the crystal clear waters, before our last day of trekking.

Leg 7

Day 7

We will make a trek with easy climbing sections (grade 3c) on a system of ledges for a difference in height of about 200m and abseils, to finally arrive at the wonderful Cala Sisine, where we will share the conclusion of the Selvaggio Blu. We will get back on the boat and head to the Marina of Santa Maria Navarrese, perhaps driven by the wind with a beautiful sailing sail.

Leg 8

Day 8

After the last overnight stay on the boat, we'll arrange to disembark at 10:00 am, reach the airport and fly home.

Amazing sailing trip with Alberto, Francesca and Pascoale throughout the Eolian Islands! It was our very first - and unforgettable - experience! We were able to visit all islands we planned, with great food prepared by Francesca and great sailing from Alberto and Pascoale. We had also the opportunity to practise a little bit of sailing which was amazing for us! We will definitely repeat that!

Three days between Trieste and Slovenia!

Bellissima vacanza, ottimamente organizzata.
