This experience, in a nutshell

Departing from Barneville-Carteret, you will sail between islands full of charm and history, a few miles from the French coast.

The cruise is designed to take you to sail and discover the beautiful Channel Islands with visit times that will allow you to soak up their beauty and their So British atmosphere, tinged with Norman tradition:

  • Jersey, the largest
  • Guernsey, Victor Hugo's land of exile
  • Alderney, the northern, cradled by the currents of the Raz Blanchard
  • Sark, the feudal, timeless

Our itinerary

Our trip starts here:

Check-in: 7:00 PM

Our trip ends here:

Barneville-Carteret.

Check-out: 2:00 PM

Leg 1

Day 1

Reception in Barneville-Carteret from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. We will do the boarding and security formalities during a welcome drink. The evening will be free to discover Barneville-Carteret, a charming seaside resort, its beaches, its shops and its nightlife. Overnight on the sailboat in port

Leg 2

Jour 2 - Jersey

The largest of the Channel Islands and the most famous. St. Helier, the capital, is a must-visit, with its covered market, luxury shops and welcoming pubs. For history lovers, you can visit Elizabeth Castle, at the entrance to the city, between sea, beach and land. Finally, for those who wish to discover this magnificent island, it is possible to rent bicycles or take the bus lines that crisscross the island, to discover its fine sandy beaches or its historical sites. Overnight on board, in port.

Leg 3

Jour 3 : Guernesey

After a 3 to 4 hour sail, we will disembark in Saint Peter Port, Victor Hugo's land of exile. You can visit his house, stroll through the lively streets of the capital or tour the island by bus. You can also stroll on the golden sandy beaches or walk in the bucolic countryside. Overnight on the sailboat at the port.

Leg 4

Day 4

Departure to Alderney, the wildest island. You can visit the forts that surround it, such as Fort Clonque or Fort Tourgis, stroll through Ste Anne, the capital, or relax on the welcoming beaches, far from the influx of tourists. We will be at anchor on a buoy or anchor. Overnight on the sailboat at anchor.

Leg 5

Day 5: Sark

The navigation to Sark will undoubtedly be one of the most tactical of the trip, because Alderney is bathed by the powerful currents of the Raz Blanchard and you will have to reconcile wind and current to reach Sark. We will arrive at the end of the afternoon. We will be at anchor, on a buoy or anchor to discover the majestic spectacle of the cliffs and the surrounding islands at sunset.

Leg 6

Day 6: Sark

We will disembark in a dinghy on one of the beaches of the island, surrounded by cliffs. To visit the island, you will have to take the steep but safe hiking trails that require good walking shoes. You will discover a special half-English, half-Norman atmosphere on this car-free and charming island.

Leg 7

Day 7

Return to Barneville-Carteret, with lunch at sea or in port, depending on the tides.

A week of sailing practice from Cherbourg

08/30/2021

A week of sailing practice from Cherbourg
