It involves a significant open sea crossing. The North Sea can present varying conditions, from calm seas to challenging waves and winds. Late May to early June usually offers mild weather, but we'll still need to be prepared for all conditions.
The route includes busy shipping areas near the Dutch coast and in the North Sea, requiring vigilant navigation. As we approach Norway, we'll need to navigate carefully through coastal waters with numerous small islands and skerries.
