The best destinations to celebrate Easter on a sailing boat
The pristine paradise of the Seychelles
If you have more vacation days available and can give yourself at least a week off, there is no doubt that the best destination is the Seychelles. In fact, April is the best time to sail here; the chance of rain is almost zero and temperatures during the day are between 24°C and 31°C.
Located off the coast of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles archipelago consists of a hundred or so islands full of beautiful nature: lush vegetation and heavenly beaches of the finest sand among the most beautiful in the world. You can take a flight to Mahè and head to Eden Island, the departure base for most cruises. There are numerous relaxing catamaran vacations during which you can snorkel and dive the crystal-clear waters to discover pristine coral reefs or simply sunbathe! You will sail from one paradise to another discovering the beautiful pearls that make up this fascinating corner of the world.
A long weekend exploring Italian treasures
The Easter weekend can be an excellent opportunity to discover places closer to home, often underrated but full of surprises. Those departing from northern Italy will be spoiled for choice: Liguria, with the unparalleled Cinque Terre and the Gulf of Tigullio; the Gulf of Trieste, where you can admire romantic Venice from the boat and with a fair wind reach the nearby coast of Istria; and the Tuscan Archipelago, for a sailing and trekking vacation. Those leaving from the center-south, on the other hand, will be comfortable heading to Anzio or Nettuno and embarking for the Pontine Islands, or discovering the Gulf of Naples with the Flegrean Islands and the exclusive Amalfi Coast with its colorful villages overlooking the sea that seen from the boat have a whole other charm.
In this period you can also find the first Whale Watching cruises proposed in collaboration with WWF Travel where you will sail to discover cetaceans accompanied by skipper and certified biologist.
The exclusive French Riviera
Menton, Monte Carlo, Cannes, Nice and Saint Tropez are just some of the locations you can include in your itinerary. Elegant and glamorous places, a corner of paradise that will impress you with the beauty of its sea and the spectacularity and variety of colors.
This is a destination suitable for everyone, for those who already have experience and also for families, for novices and for those who want to try their hand for the first few times at running a boat. The navigation will be purely coastal, without any particular difficulties and with numerous landings in which to shelter in case of bad weather.
