I have been sailing since I was 6 years old, at the age of 16 I started doing competitive sailing both offshore and dinghy. I am an FIV Sailing Instructor of dinghies, catamarans and offshore sailing and I have been teaching sailing since 1986.

The sailing results of which I am most proud are only the three Giraglie won in the absolute IOR category in 1986, 1987 and 1989 with "Ippogrifo" I 4985 in which I was helmsman and navigator. I cannot fail to mention the satisfaction I felt in taking turns at the helm and adjusting the sails of the fantastic training ship Amerigo Vespucci on the occasion of the Columbus regatta in 1992.

With the Nelly, the family boat with which I still sail, I won many regattas including the Peroni Nastro Azzurro Cup - Yacht Club Punta Ala in 1984, and the Peroni Nastro Azzurro Trophy - Yacht Club Livorno - National Championship of production racing boats in 1985. Finally, I don't want to forget my drift experience on the Laser std Black magic "Slow Pace" with which, now badly reduced, I reached the final of the match race at the Italian championship in Trieste organized clandestinely among the strongest laserists of the moment during a break in the regattas due to the strong bora.
