This experience, in a nutshell

NB: you must contact the skipper via the message area before booking.
What I propose is an experience of sea and sailing a little different from the others.

THE BOAT: it is an Impala 35, a "Classic Boat", born in the early 70s from the prestigious pencil of Olin Stephens. It is a fiberglass sloop suitable for offshore sailing. This is the same project with which Ida Castiglioni participated in the 1976 Ostar transatlantic regatta. It has a high course stability due to a large displacement, pronounced water lines and the presence of a semi-long fin.
The boat was launched in 1982, I am its "lucky" third owner. Eco has always been treated like a queen of the seas, cared for and pampered. The hull is in excellent condition and has all safety certificates. It has a new engine with only 300 hours and a very respectable set of sails. The electronic instrumentation on board allows you to make even very demanding navigations. It's a boat that sails a lot and just wants to sail.

THE DURATION: our experience will last 9 days, instead of the classic week. There are many reasons for this. We will depart from Italy (Port of Giulianova, Northern Abruzzo) and return to Italy (always port of Giulianova), we will make 2 crossings of the Adriatic and two night. In 9 days you will have time to fully enjoy the beauty of the places we will visit, to get in tune with the boat and the magical world of slow sailing. In 9 days we will also be able to carefully evaluate the best weather windows to face the crossings. As a result, flexibility is required on timing (see postponing departure or return, with the same duration of the experience) and locations (if Bora is planned in Northern Dalmatia for a week, we will go to Central and Southern Dalmatia), safety is always in the first place.

THE ITINERARY: we will make two crossings of the Adriatic and two night crossings, we will favor remote and sparse places, rather than crowded and expensive marinas. We will visit magnificent natural parks and small villages. We will have nice swims and also trekking. We will stay several days in the same place if we like it very much or we will run away immediately if it is not to our liking. It will be a combination of sailing, sailing, sea, land, nature and culture.

MOOD ON BOARD: It is a staunchly "pro-European and pacifist" boat, there is no room for intolerance on board, but only for respect. It is my home and I gladly share it with those who love the sea, nature, sport, silence, diversity, culture, reading. It is not a monothematic boat. We're not just going to talk about sailing and boats. It is a boat that loves confrontation and dialogue. On board, you don't scream, but you relax. Decisions will be shared in accordance with everyone's needs. We will give the utmost importance to safety and weather conditions. Bad weather no sail.
Peace and Love!

Our itinerary

A possible itinerary:

- departure from the port of Giulianova at 5.00 p.m., arrival at the island of Premuda at about 8.00 a.m.

-In the following days, we will climb a few more miles to the north, and then begin the descent to the southeast.

-we will choose to visit the beautiful Premuda, Susak, IloviK, Molat, Dugi Otok, the wonderful Telascika park (possible trekking), the Kornati park (possible trekking), the lively Kaprije, the remote Zirje, and then return to the Italian coasts.

The navigation, apart from the crossings, will be a few hours a day, we will try to prefer sailing (where Aeolus wants). We will pay the utmost attention to safety. Flexibility, adaptability, resistance to fatigue and weather conditions that are not always favorable, are necessary to be able to live ten days together on a boat sailing around the Adriatic.
